When classroom teachers turn to physical educators for help in creating more movement and physical activity for their students what information needs to be discussed? This session will present the details of this conversation including a purposeful framework and the why's and how's of implementation.
How do you know your students are learning? What tools and frameworks can you utilise to monitor student learning? This presentation will explore Pat's journey in the 2016 year focusing on data he has collected about student learning and teaching. It will provide insights into how students applied themselves and performed within units along with the relationship to different pedagogical models and frameworks.
This session will discuss how QR Codes can be an effective tool in your Physical Education classroom. Various suggestions of how to incorporate QR codes as well as how to create the codes will be provided. Teachers will leave the webinar feeling comfortable with how to get started with using modern day technology in their classrooms.

This is the story of the Sport in Education Project; an approach adopted by a group of New Zealand secondary schools to contribute to improved academic, social and sporting outcomes for schools and students by using sport as a context for learning and student engagement. Sport in Education is about creating powerful learning environments through combining sport as an engaging context, and effective teaching pedagogies found in physical education. An emphasis of the project has been on using cross-curricular approaches - theme based units of work, planned and delivered collaboratively by cross-curricular teaching teams, and using integrated assessment tasks.
Instructional assistants (IAs)/support staff/paraprofessionals have a great deal of responsibility and yet, receive very little training, especially when it comes to including students with special needs in Physical Education. This webinar will give you guidelines for communication skill development among staff, how to initiate communication, strategies that will help you make informed decisions while assisting your students, and will give you the confidence to include them with their peers in a fun and interactive environment. With support, training, and information, you can make a difference in the school experience for the students you serve.

An Ed Camp is a gathering of people (often teachers) who want to learn more about various topics in their field. A student Ed Camp is held before, during, or after school. Students can choose to be "teachers" or "learners" in multiple sessions during the Ed Camp. In this session, participants will learn how to create and run their own Ed Camp with the resources and time available to their individual schools.

Here you will find your purpose and passion through play. In this session you will learn about conceptual practices, as well as strategies to implement in your own classroom.
This session with provide you with an overview of how to use the new Google Sites and explore ways you can incorporate Google Sites into your Physical Education classroom. You will also walk away with tips and tricks in using additional web tools and websites to set up or strengthen your own Google Site to ultimately enhance your teaching.
The use of “Small Sided Games” (SSGs) as a best practice in physical education can provide a big return in terms of maximizing participation, inclusion, skill development, and assessment opportunities while keeping the learning environment enjoyable. Through purposeful progressions, Small Sided Games re-create the physical or tactical demands found in game-play but in a smaller setting while still allowing for improvement to fitness levels. This session will challenge the listener to re-think the “traditional” and provide resources, progressions, and sample activities they can begin using immediately in their program.
